Description
Start Date: June 12, 2026
Location: Akron, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other holiday
Highlights:
- Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown specialty in a well-established healthcare setting
- Night shift schedule with consistent three 12-hour shift pattern
- ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments conducted during orientation
- Opportunity for contract extensions up to 18 months
- Orientation includes comprehensive onboarding with required pre-start modules
- Structured time tracking system for streamlined documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 months of permanent PCU/Stepdown experience required
- Active Ohio RN license or valid Compact state license in hand at time of application
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- Current COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in PCU/Stepdown specialty required
- Clean license with no active hits or open legal cases
