Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), every other weekend, self-scheduling

Highlights:

• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with 36 beds serving adult and geriatric populations
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on nights; 1:5 ratio on weekends
• Diverse case mix including cardiac, renal, respiratory, surgical recovery, and critical monitoring
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy
• Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
• 24-hour orientation with self-scheduling flexibility

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, wound care, and advanced airway management
• Proficiency with central lines, PICC lines, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and isolation precautions
• Experience with Epic documentation preferred
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
• Ability to float within the hospital system as needed
• Willingness to work major holidays (2 out of 3 required) and participate in storm/hurricane response teams
