Job Opportunity – Postpartum Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36-hour orientation; rotating shifts including weekends; patient ratios of 3-4 dyads (6-8 patients) across all shifts

Highlights:

• 40-bed inpatient postpartum unit providing family-centered care to mothers and newborns
• Couplet care experience with healthy newborns, postpartum patients, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) infants
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Two pre-approved time-off periods available during the contract
• May float to units of similar acuity as needed
• Daily census of approximately 60 patients with access to full interpretation and social services

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Proficient IV start skills and Labor & Delivery experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry interpretation skills; EKG exam must be passed prior to start
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (one must be from formal leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
