Description
Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday, no weekends, no call
Highlights:
- Specialty oncology PACU setting with 28 beds serving a diverse patient population
- Variable acuity levels ranging from outpatient procedures to ICU-level care
- Complex surgical cases including flap reconstruction, thoracic, and neurosurgery procedures
- Epic charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided
- 13-week assignment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Local candidates welcome at standard travel rates
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing experience required; no first-time travelers
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of application
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references including at least one from a manager or director
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
