Description
Start Date: June 8, 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available; every other weekend required; block scheduling options available (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday)
Highlights:
- Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit with post-surgical and med-surg patient populations
- Epic EMR system experience required
- 13-week contract with 36 hours of orientation
- Patient ratio typically 5-6:1, may flex to 7:1 in extreme circumstances
- Focus on pain management for orthopedic and spine surgical patients
- Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with orthopedic work experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- ACLS preferred
- IV start and telemetry skills required
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Willingness to float to other med-surg units within the facility based on census needs
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
