Description
Start Date: April 21, 2026
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Highlights:
- 29-bed dedicated postpartum unit plus 8 overflow beds in a high-volume facility delivering 400-500 babies monthly
- Patient ratio of 3-4 couplets per RN for optimal care delivery
- EMR system includes Meditech and CPN for streamlined documentation
- Collaborative unit culture with 50 team members including RNs, charge nurses, and PCTs
- Flexible scheduling available to accommodate work-life balance
- Exposure to high-risk postpartum cases and advanced maternal care
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital postpartum experience required
- Active RN license in Kansas or eligibility for compact licensure
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- High-risk postpartum experience preferred
- Level 2 Nursery experience is a plus
- Experience with breastfeeding support, postpartum hemorrhage management, hypertension assessment, and circumcision assistance
