Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit RN – Ohio

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour rotating day/night shifts (36 hours per week), weekdays and some weekends, rotating holidays required

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit specializing in lower acuity cardiac care with electrophysiology focus
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4 across all shifts
• 30-bed unit with diverse case mix including arrhythmias, syncope, chest pain, CHF, and open heart surgery overflow
• Exposure to specialized cardiac procedures including pacemaker placement, arrhythmia ablation, cardioversions, and cardiac catheterizations
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support team
• 36 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Valid Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of application
• EPIC experience required
• Cardiac experience strongly preferred
• Strong skills in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Willingness to float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
