Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Ohio

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Days (3x12s) – Weekdays and some weekends; 3-4 weekend shifts per month

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit with 4:1 patient ratio across all shifts
• Mixed Med-Surg PCU unit with 6 transitional beds; 27-bed capacity
• EPIC EMR system for documentation
• 36-hour orientation provided; float to lower acuity units as needed
• Diverse case mix including general medicine, organ failure, chest tubes, PICC lines, and IV therapies
• Strong interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams

Requirements:

• Active Ohio RN license (Compact or state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• Current BCLS and IV certification required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skills in PCU/Stepdown, IV management, chest tube care, dysrhythmia interpretation, and isolation precautions
• Travel nursing experience a plus
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership role)
