Description
Start Date: July 13, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts OR 12-hour night shifts; scheduling reviewed every 4 weeks based on departmental needs
Highlights:
- Specialized 36-bed bone marrow transplant and hematology oncology unit with mixed acuity progressive care and medical-surgical patients
- Work with complex patient populations including ALL, AML, multiple myeloma, lymphomas, and myelodysplastic syndromes
- Exposure to advanced therapies including autologous, allogeneic, and syngeneic transplants plus CAR-T therapy
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- 72-hour orientation period to support successful onboarding
- Daily census of 33 patients with robust telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of current inpatient hematology oncology experience
- Medical-surgical and inpatient hematology oncology experience required; BMT experience strongly preferred
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- BLS certification (current)
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification (required)
- ACLS certification (preferred)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Demonstrated competency in telemetry monitoring, central line management, chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, and port care
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership role

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
