Job Opportunity – MS/Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (36 hours per week); includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Highlights:

• Float pool position with flexibility to support Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 ensuring quality care delivery
• EPIC electronic health records system utilized facility-wide
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• 24-hour orientation provided to ensure smooth transition
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; two pre-approved time-off requests available

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring essential
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of application
• Travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• 2 professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role

Key Skills:

• Blood product administration and central line care/management
• Heparin and IV insulin protocol management
• Cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration)
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases
• Pre/post surgical care including neurosurgery, orthopedic trauma, and total joint replacements
• Wound care/wound VAC, tracheostomy care, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Experience with high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, and PICC line management
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
