Description
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Variable start times at 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Weekend coverage required. On-call shifts distributed equally every 6 weeks (up to 6-8 shifts per 6-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends). May be required to cover occasional night shifts as needed. Block scheduling may be available at manager discretion.
Highlights:
- 277-bed acute care hospital with Level I Trauma designation serving diverse surgical specialties
- Daily census of approximately 25 cases across orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general surgery, GU, and GYN
- Epic charting system in a fully equipped surgical environment featuring da Vinci Xi Surgical System
- Collaborative interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services
- 40-hour comprehensive orientation with free on-site parking
- Float opportunities to affiliate facilities within the region to expand skill set
Requirements:
- Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
- Minimum 2-3 years of recent OR nursing experience required
- Trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho experience required due to Level I Trauma status
- BLS certification current and valid
- Epic charting experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Ability to float to sister facilities as needed
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Experience with trauma, orthopedics (including total joints and trauma), neurosurgery, vascular surgery, robotics, general surgery, GU, and GYN procedures
