Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, weekdays with every other weekend rotation; must be available to float to Mother Baby unit as needed

Highlights:

• Support both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients in a 14-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 6 triage beds and 2 operating rooms
• Work in a regional tertiary care center that serves as a receiving port for outlying hospitals
• Utilize Cerner EMR system along with Surginet and Fetallink documentation platforms
• Collaborate with midwives and physicians to maximize the childbirth experience for diverse patient populations
• Option to work full-time 40-hour assignments if desired
• Orientation every other Thursday with bi-weekly start dates

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience required
• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (American Heart Association)
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Circulating experience in OR setting and fetal heart monitoring skills required
• IV start proficiency; triage and scrub skills a plus
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption documented
• Fit test for approved masks required prior to start
