Job Opportunity – Med-Surgical Float Pool Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: July 13, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours per week); includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Highlights:

• Float pool opportunity with flexibility to work across units of equivalent or lower acuity

• Patient ratios of 1:4–5, supporting quality patient care

• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Med-Surgical setting
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Ohio RN license (compact accepted) must be in hand at time of application
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Travel nursing experience required; Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
