Job Opportunity – PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; orientation includes 36 hours

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown environment with diverse patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Advanced skill set required including telemetry and dysrhythmia management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, and IV insulin/heparin protocols
• 32-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• EPIC charting system for streamlined documentation
• Opportunity to work with complex patient conditions including tracheostomy management, wound care, renal failure, and blood product administration
• 13-week travel assignment with local and travel candidates accepted

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• 1:4 patient ratio experience required
• Emergency room experience, ER observation/holding, or Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
