Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery RN – Alaska

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts (every other weekend required), 60 guaranteed hours per 2-week period

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment at a prestigious Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
• High-acuity Labor & Delivery unit with 10 LDR rooms, 10 OB Triage rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Average 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 high-risk antepartum and induction patients; OB Triage serves 4-5 third trimester testing patients plus daily triage volume
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 36-hour orientation period; may float to similar units within scope as needed
• Free parking provided at a 407-bed acute care hospital

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission; license must be in hand for offer)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Advanced
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
