Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly); 6 weekend shifts per every 6-week schedule

Highlights:

• 41-bed progressive care trauma and telemetry unit specializing in adult and geriatric surgical trauma patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, flexing to 1:5 as needed; telemetry monitoring available for up to 14 patients
• Care for hemodynamically stable patients recovering from traumatic injuries including motor vehicle crashes, penetrating injuries, falls, and assaults
• Epic EMR system; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Orientation every Monday with paid pre-assignment modules (up to 16 billable hours)
• Travel assignment with possibility to extend; competitive compensation and benefits package

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent progressive care or step-down nursing experience (2+ years required for first-time travelers)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and Telemetry
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, central line care, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, wound care, and trauma patient management
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, PCA pumps, blood product administration, and heparin protocols preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience strongly preferred
• Medication competency testing required
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Must reside 50+ miles from facility (certain bill rate adjustments may apply based on distance)
