Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-week assignment. Every other weekend and every other holiday. Unit operates on a self-scheduling model designed to accommodate preferences when possible. No time off requests accepted for July 4th.

Highlights:

• Work in a comprehensive children's hospital supporting NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Gain experience with complex congenital heart cases, including transplants and ECMO support
• Level IV NICU experience required; cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Utilize specialized equipment including Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across all units of the children's hospital
• Care for patients ranging from neonates through adolescents

Requirements:

• Virginia state RRT license (must be in hand at time of application; pending considered if temporary license can be obtained before start with another active state license)
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and RRT required; PALS and ACCS preferred
• Competency with high-frequency ventilation, including jet ventilator and oscillator
• Epic charting system experience required
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Professional references required
