Job Opportunity – Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse – New Hampshire

Start Date: June 8, 2026

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day or night shift available; every third weekend required; no on-call; patient ratios vary based on acuity (1:1 for ECMO and post-operative cardiac surgery, 1:2 for typical ICU, 1:3-4 for stepdown)

Highlights:

  • 20-bed mixed medical and surgical ICU with diverse patient population
  • Advanced critical care equipment including ECMO, Impella, IABP, CRRT, ventilators, and high-flow oxygen systems
  • Sunrise EMR system in use
  • Exposure to specialized procedures including central line insertion, chest tube placement, intubation, cardioversion, and transvenous pacing
  • Collaborative team environment with charge nurse support and appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity
  • Potential for floating to Progressive Care unit

Requirements:

  • Active New Hampshire RN license required prior to submission
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or higher-level experience strongly preferred
  • Prior ICU experience with critical drips, ventilators, and advanced life support preferred
  • Organized, adaptable personality with ability to manage changing patient acuity

Unit was traveler friendly, staff was very nice and welcoming, felt supported, nice area of the country for exploring

Cons

Nurses do all their own vitals (not sure how that’s even possible on dayshift), limited resources, morale was low due to recent buyout by HCA
