Job Opportunity – Postpartum Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36-hour orientation; rotating shifts with weekend coverage; 3-4 dyads per shift (6-8 patients)

Highlights:

• 40-bed inpatient postpartum unit providing family-centered care to mothers and newborns
• Couplet care model serving postpartum patients, healthy newborns, and NAS infants
• EPIC charting system with telemetry interpretation required (EKG exam prior to start)
• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, PT, and social services
• Daily census of approximately 60 patients with diverse case mix including vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Two pre-approved time off periods available per contract

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• IV start skills and labor and delivery experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and ability to pass EKG exam
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references (at least one from manager, director, or charge nurse)
• Willingness to float to units of similar acuity as needed
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
