Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN – New Mexico

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Hobbs, New Mexico
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Block scheduling, 1:1 patient ratio, on-call coverage 1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends per month

Highlights:

• Operating room experience with ortho, general, gynecology, and podiatry procedures in a 61-bed short-term acute care facility
• Daily census of 5-6 cases across 5 operating rooms with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
• Epic charting system with extensive case mix including total joint replacements, laparoscopic procedures, trauma, and ambulatory surgeries
• On-call rotation shared equally among team members; no mandatory weekend shifts beyond call requirements
• Free parking and professional work environment serving diverse patient populations from pediatrics through geriatrics
• 13-week assignment with opportunity to return after 3-month break

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact state license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience; previous travel experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in circulating for orthopedic, general surgery, gynecological, and podiatry procedures
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
