Job Opportunity – Acute Leukemia and Hematology RN – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour rotating days/nights; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs; variable weekend coverage; 1:4-1:5 patient ratio

Highlights:

• Specialized acute leukemia unit caring for newly diagnosed patients with high-acuity hematology needs
• Medical unit with focus on blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management
• 72-hour orientation with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• EPIC charting system with GE telemetry monitoring
• May float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units as needed
• 24-bed unit with emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year in PCU/Stepdown
• Current, consistent acute care experience within the last 12 months required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred; ONS Chemo certification preferred but not required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central/PICC line management
• EPIC charting experience required
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
