Description
Start Date: June 15, 2026 (Latest)
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 48 hours per week, 6-week assignment, every other weekend required, acuity-based patient ratios (typically 1:4 or 1:6)
Highlights:
- Brand new, state-of-the-art freestanding emergency department with 11 beds and all new equipment
- Comprehensive services including CT, X-ray, point of care labs, and full respiratory support capabilities
- Meditech EMR system with cardiac/vital sign monitors in every patient room
- Opportunity to expand clinical skills including BiPAP, ventilator management, and point of care testing
- Part of a Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Cardiac Care, Burn Center, and Level II NICU system
- Mid-shift PCT support with collaborative team approach to patient care
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current RN license
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
- All required certifications must be submitted with application
- Proficiency in IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube insertion, and assisting with standard ED procedures
- Experience with common emergency chief complaints and trauma patient care
