Description
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required
Highlights:
- Combination acuity unit serving adult medical-surgical and surgical stepdown patients with a 1:6 ratio
- Diverse patient population including trauma, emergency surgery, and planned surgical cases
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- 13-26 week contract options available with 24 hours of floor orientation
- Experience with complex surgical drains, chest tubes, wound vacs, and dysrhythmia management
- Pre-approved time off available up to 7 days (excluding holidays)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of surgical unit experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- North Carolina or Compact state RN license
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, surgical drains, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions
- Experience with non-invasive airway management including nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
- Ability to float to like units when needed and work Storm/Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
