Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Combination acuity unit serving adult medical-surgical and surgical stepdown patients with a 1:6 ratio
• Diverse patient population including trauma, emergency surgery, and planned surgical cases
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• 13-26 week contract options available with 24 hours of floor orientation
• Experience with complex surgical drains, chest tubes, wound vacs, and dysrhythmia management
• Pre-approved time off available up to 7 days (excluding holidays)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of surgical unit experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, surgical drains, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions
• Experience with non-invasive airway management including nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
• Ability to float to like units when needed and work Storm/Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
