Description
Start Date: July 29, 2026 (subject to final confirmation based on orientation scheduling)
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with call rotation one day per week and weekend coverage approximately every 6-7 weeks. Full-time 40-hour schedules available. Assignment duration of 13 weeks accepted.
Highlights:
- Advanced IR suite with GE Innova Single Plane and Siemens Artis Biplane systems performing complex vascular, neuro, and oncologic interventions
- Comprehensive case mix including stroke intervention, intracranial embolization, vertebroplasty, chemoembolization, Therasphere procedures, and vascular access placements
- 650-bed facility with busy IR department averaging 20 procedures daily across 3 rooms
- Epic charting system with Pyxis and PACS integration
- 40-hour paid orientation with full interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized services
- Call rotation follows structured team schedule with Tuesday, Thursday, Monday, Wednesday, and weekend coverage
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures experience in an acute care setting required
- ARRT certification, BLS required; ARRT CI and ARRT VI preferred
- Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
- Stroke certified hospital experience strongly preferred; Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Extensive procedural competency required including angioplasty, embolization, IVC filter placement and removal, carotid angiography, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS, vertebroplasty, and central venous access
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy, equipment maintenance, PACS, 3D imaging, and sterile technique required
- Experience with genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy, biliary drainage, ureteral stent placement, and uterine arterial embolization required
- Lead tech experience and familiarity with rapid response/code teams required
- Must be available for flexible start day during first week (Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday) with no conflicting commitments
- North Carolina or Compact state license required
