Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN – Ohio

Start Date: August 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Days; Call coverage Monday-Friday 2100-0630 and weekends (12-hour shifts); 3 weekend shifts per 13-week contract as needed

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma Center with 18-bed Operating Room performing 45-50 surgical procedures daily
• Diverse case mix including General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Laparoscopic procedures, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
• Epic charting system in a high-acuity surgical environment
• 13-week contract extension opportunity serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Float to different units within the organization as needed
• One approved time-off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of application
• Level I Trauma experience strongly preferred
• Must have experience with Ophthalmology and Liver Transplant procedures (proficiency rated 3 or 4)
• Must have experience in at least 2 of the following 3 service lines: Neuro, Ortho, or Robotics
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references required, including at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role
