Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week; 13-26 week assignment available

Highlights:

• Neurology-focused Med/Surg unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on nights; 24-bed unit with manageable daily census
• EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management
• 24-hour orientation with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Weekend requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts per contract (approximately every other weekend)
• Opportunity to develop charge nurse skills preferred

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale knowledge preferred
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and peripheral line care
• Experience with CVA patients and neuro care strongly preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• First-time travelers accepted; willingness to float to other units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
