Job Opportunity – Acute Leukemia and Hematology RN – Ohio

Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day/Night rotation or Nights only available); self-scheduling with flexible requests accepted; variable weekend coverage based on unit needs

Highlights:

• Specialty focus on newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients in a 24-bed medical oncology unit
• Goal staffing ratio of 1:4 (may flex to 1:5 based on acuity)
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and more
• Hands-on care including blood product administration, IV therapy, central line management, and telemetry monitoring
• Rotating shifts reviewed every 4-week scheduling period; shift assignments based on department needs
• Comprehensive 2-week orientation: first week Monday-Friday dayshift, second week 36 hours with preceptor

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Current and consistent acute care experience within the last 12 months in a relevant specialty
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• NIHSS certification preferred; ONS Chemo Certification preferred but not required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leader)
