Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Active adult and geriatric medical/surgical unit with approximately 43 daily census
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks available
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and respiratory services
• Charge role required for night shift travelers, offering leadership experience
• 24 hours of paid orientation to ensure smooth transition to the unit

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
• Current North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Competency with insulin and heparin drips is mandatory
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Ability to work holidays as assigned and every other weekend
• Willingness to float to similar units and alternate care locations as needed
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and charge nurse experience preferred
