Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery – New Mexico

Start Date: August 3, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available. On-call required: 12 hours over 4 weeks for 48-hour contracts; 24 hours over 4 weeks for 36-hour contracts

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital with 554 staffed beds and high-acuity maternal care
• 12 LDRs, 3 operating rooms, 5 PACU beds, and 7-bed OB Triage serving 200-300 births monthly
• Patient ratio of 1:2 with float coverage to antepartum and postpartum units as needed
• Cerner charting system; purple scrubs provided; free parking
• Minimum 10-week contract with up to 7 days PTO available with approval
• Baby-friendly designated facility with comprehensive neonatal and maternal services

Requirements:

• Active or pending New Mexico RN license
• Minimum 1 year Labor & Delivery experience in a large, high-volume facility
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (NRP must be in hand upon submission; RQI certifications not accepted)
• Proficient circulating and fetal heart monitoring skills; experienced with 3rd and 4th stage postpartum care, baby catching, and meconium deliveries
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius; proof of non-local residency required
• Flu vaccine required; COVID vaccine optional
