Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend and every other holiday

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment in a Level I trauma facility caring for surgical and trauma critical care patients
• Fast-paced 15-bed intensive care unit with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
• 24-hour orientation with opportunities to work with advanced equipment including CRRT, rapid infuser, and blood warmers
• Work with multisystem trauma and complex post-operative surgical patients requiring advanced critical care skills
• Up to 40 hours of requested time off available during contract

Requirements:

• Current Virginia RN license or ability to obtain (pending licenses accepted, must be in-hand by Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum 1 year of critical care nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
• Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
• Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, blood product administration, continuous IV sedation, and vasoactive drip titration
• BSN preferred
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Willingness to float within scope of practice per facility policy
• Professional references required
