Description
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Night rotation or Night shift only; 12-hour shifts; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on unit needs
Highlights:
- Specialized BMT unit caring for patients with acute leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, and other hematologic conditions
- Exposure to advanced therapies including autologous, allogeneic, and syngeneic transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
- 36-bed progressive care and medical-surgical oncology unit with 33 average daily census
- Epic EMR system with telemetry monitoring and interdisciplinary support from PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 72-hour orientation program with comprehensive onboarding
- May float to other medical-surgical oncology units as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
- At least 1 year of current medical-surgical and oncology experience required
- Hematology oncology experience strongly preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
- BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line care, and PICC line management
- Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- 2 professional references: at least one from a manager or supervisor in formal leadership capacity

Please note: This is a travel nursing assignment with specific compliance requirements including urgent Ohio fingerprinting upon contract signing. Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6+ months to be eligible. Current employees are not eligible for travel positions.

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
