Description
Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required
Highlights:
- Work in a fast-paced ED holding unit supporting patients awaiting inpatient beds with diverse medical/surgical diagnoses
- Target ratios of 1:6 for MS/Tele patients or 1:4 for PCU-level patients
- Located within the Emergency Department as part of the Float Pool team
- Epic charting system with 12-hour orientation provided
- Opportunity to work with high-acuity adult and geriatric populations in a dynamic environment
- 13-week assignment with up to 7 days approved time off
Requirements:
- Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Proficiency in MS/Tele, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, respiratory support equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC), and ABG interpretation
- Experience with colostomy care, feeding tubes, renal failure, PICC lines, insulin and heparin protocols, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
- Willingness to float to ED and MedSurg areas as needed
- Completion of 8-10 hours of pre-start online modules using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
