Description
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Weekend block schedule – 12-hour shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. No on-call or floating required. Patient ratio 1:1.
Highlights:
- Work exclusively in a Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds at a short-term acute care facility
- Comprehensive case mix including Ortho, Neuro, General, Trauma, Bariatric, Cardiothoracic, Robotic (XI/DV5), Urology, and Kidney Transplant procedures
- Epic charting system experience required; orientation includes 12 hours of onboarding
- Weekend-only position with consistent Friday, Saturday, Sunday schedule
- Free employee parking available in surface lots
- Opportunity to work with advanced technology including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and robotic procedures
Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience with at least 1 year of patient ratio 1:1 experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR preferred
- Experience with Orthopedic, Neurological, General, Trauma, and Robotic (XI/DV5) surgical procedures required
- Epic charting system proficiency required
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
