Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (40 hours per week). Call requirement includes rotational basis with approximately 8 call days per 10-12 week period. Primary and backup call from end of shift until 7:00 AM weekdays; 24-hour weekend call (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM Saturday/Sunday). Possible holiday call coverage (primary or backup).

Highlights:

• Tertiary care center with comprehensive interventional radiology services including neuro/stroke procedures
• Target volume of 16 cases per day across three IR rooms with pre and post coverage in Radiology Pre-Post Unit (RPPU)
• Primarily Monday through Friday workload with minimal weekend requirements based on call rotation
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• Contract length of 13 weeks or longer with potential extension through February 27
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• No floating required; scrubs provided
• 8-hour orientation with hospital orientation week available during first week

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Strong skills in conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring
• Working knowledge of interventional radiology procedures including stroke/neuro interventions
• Must be able to arrive at facility within 30 minutes for call coverage
• PALS, circulating experience, and ventilator management skills preferred
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
