Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available; block scheduling options (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday); every other weekend required

Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit with post-surgical patient population
Patient ratio typically 5-6:1, flexible scheduling with block options available
Epic EMR system; 36 hours of paid orientation provided
13-week contract with up to 7 days pre-approved time off (excluding holidays)
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
Opportunity to work with total joint replacements, spinal cord injuries, and orthopedic trauma patients

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with orthopedic background required
Previous travel experience required; Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
Preferred certifications: ACLS
Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
Skills required: IV start and maintenance, telemetry monitoring, pain management
Willingness to float to other med-surg units within the facility as needed
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
