Description
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available; block scheduling options (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday); every other weekend required
Highlights:
- Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit with post-surgical patient population
- Patient ratio typically 5-6:1, flexible scheduling with block options available
- Epic EMR system; 36 hours of paid orientation provided
- 13-week contract with up to 7 days pre-approved time off (excluding holidays)
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- Opportunity to work with total joint replacements, spinal cord injuries, and orthopedic trauma patients
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with orthopedic background required
- Previous travel experience required; Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
- Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
- Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
- Preferred certifications: ACLS
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Skills required: IV start and maintenance, telemetry monitoring, pain management
- Willingness to float to other med-surg units within the facility as needed
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
