Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 1845-0715, 36 or 48 hours per week. Contract length 13-20 weeks accepted. Weekend requirement: every other weekend. Patient ratio 1:6.

Highlights:

  • Acute care Med/Surg with telemetry monitoring and diverse patient population including surgical recovery, cardiac, respiratory, and renal cases
  • Comprehensive skill utilization including dysrhythmia management, wound care, central line management, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and high flow oxygen therapy
  • 24-hour orientation with self-scheduling system and interdisciplinary support from pharmacy, respiratory, PT, social services, and rapid response teams
  • Experience with blood product administration, isolation precautions, feeding tube management, and pre/post hemodialysis care
  • 36-bed unit with Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
  • Float opportunities may be available to expand clinical experience

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of acute care Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required
  • Active RN license in North Carolina or current Compact state license
  • BLS and NIHSS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong competency in telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Proficiency with central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, wound vacs, and respiratory support equipment
  • Experience with patient ratios of 1:6 preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred; electronic documentation skills required
  • Must be available to work holidays and participate in emergency response protocols
  • Flu vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only
  • Must pass EKG competency testing prior to contract start
