Description
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-20 week assignment
Highlights:
- Patient ratio of 1:6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- 36-bed Med/Surg-Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diverse case mix including cardiac, renal, surgical recovery, and complex medical conditions
- Remote telemetry monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation and management responsibilities
- 24-hour orientation with self-scheduling flexibility and every-other-weekend requirement
- Experience with advanced skills including central lines, PICC management, wound vacs, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
- May float to partner campus location as needed to support collaborative patient care
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or MS/Telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
- Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, and wound care
- Experience with central line management, feeding tubes, renal failure care, colostomy/ileostomy management, and respiratory support devices
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Availability to work 2 of 3 major holidays and potential storm/hurricane team assignment during catastrophic events
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
