Description
Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36-hour orientation period followed by rotating shifts; every other weekend required; holiday rotation per facility policy; patient ratio 1:6 with average daily census of 29
Highlights:
- 32-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
- Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
- Comprehensive skill set including wound care, chest tubes, PICC line management, blood product administration, and high flow nasal cannula
- Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, phlebotomy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Maximum 7 days requested time off available per contract (must be finalized at time of submission)
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of application
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
- Epic charting experience required
- Charge RN experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, IV starts, PICC line management, feeding tube care, and blood product administration
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
