Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage required; patient ratio of 3-4 dyads (6-8 patients) per shift; 36 hours orientation provided; two pre-approved time-off periods available

Highlights:

• 40-bed inpatient postpartum unit providing family-centered care to mothers and newborns
• Comprehensive case mix including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, healthy newborns, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) infants
• EPIC charting system with strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• May float to units of similar acuity; telemetry interpretation required with EKG exam prior to start
• Travel nursing assignment with 13-week contract length
• Daily census of approximately 60 patients across the unit

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• IV start skills and labor & delivery (L&D) experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) in hand at time of submission
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Ability to pass telemetry/EKG exam prior to assignment start
• Skills in magnesium sulfate therapy, postpartum hemorrhage management, newborn assessment, breastfeeding instruction, and couplet care
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or director)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
