Job Opportunity – Respiratory Therapist (NICU) – Texas

Start Date: July 20, 2026

Location: Irving, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating weekends. Day shift: 2 RTs (1 NICU) with clinical coordinator Monday–Friday; Night shift: 2 RTs. Patient ratios vary by assignment: 1st RT covers NICU, medical-surgical telemetry, and/or progressive care; 2nd RT covers emergency department, ICU, and medical-surgical units, subject to change based on acuity.

Highlights:

• Work in a dynamic 11-member respiratory care team supporting NICU, ICU, ER, and progressive care units
• Advanced equipment experience including Servo U, PB 980, Hamilton C1 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, and Fisher & Paykel bubble CPAP and HFNC systems
• EMR: Meditech
• NICU experience preferred and prioritized for candidate selection
• Comprehensive scope of practice including ventilator management, airway care, trach management, ABG analysis, and code response
• Black scrubs dress code

Requirements:

• Texas state Respiratory Therapist license
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Critical care experience with adult ventilator management and weaning protocols
• Proficiency in tracheostomy care, emergency and standard airway management across all patient populations
• Experience with EKG procedures, arterial blood gas analysis and sampling technique
• Strong skills in respiratory medication administration, care planning, assessment, and documentation
• NICU experience strongly preferred
