Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Salisbury, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 18:45 - 07:15; 36 hours per week; every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment working with adult behavioral health patients
• Patient ratios of 1:8 on a 20-bed unit with average daily census of 16
• EMR experience with Epic preferred; unit also uses Pyxis and SBAR
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams
• 24 hours of unit orientation provided; first-time travelers welcome
• MOAB certification will be offered by the facility

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience required
• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• Current BLS certification required
• MOAB certification (facility will provide training)
• Experience with patient diagnoses including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and major depression
• Strong de-escalation techniques and medication administration skills
• Willingness to float to similar behavioral health units within the facility as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
