Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Columbus, Ohio

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 1:3-4 patient ratio. Weekend coverage required. Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.

• Telemetry monitoring with comprehensive critical care skill utilization including drip management, central line care, and advanced airway management

• Robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Med-Surg/PCU hybrid unit caring for adolescent and adult patient populations

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown/IMC) experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale preferred
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Experience with arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, and ventilatory support (BiPAP/CPAP)
• Proficiency in wound care, surgical drain management, tracheostomy care, and IV insulin/heparin protocols
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
