Description
Start Date: July 21, 2026
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, Days (7:00am - 5:30pm)
Highlights:
- 13-week assignment in a busy Interventional Radiology department specializing in neuro/stroke procedures
- Focus on thrombectomies with emphasis on conscious sedation and critical care nursing skills
- Epic Radiant (IR) charting system experience required
- Call requirement: 10-12 primary/backup shifts every six weeks (mix of weekday and weekend; 30-minute response time)
- Professional interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
- Opportunity to work with advanced neuro-interventional procedures in a dynamic environment
Requirements:
- Active Virginia or Compact State RN license required at time of application
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience with neuro/stroke and thrombectomy background
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Experience administering conscious sedation in procedural or critical care settings
- Epic charting system proficiency (must provide statement of recent Epic experience)
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- IR or procedural nursing experience, or ICU experience with willingness to transition to IR
- Flu vaccine required during flu season; COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered per CMS guidelines)
