Job Opportunity – Rehabilitation Medical-Surgical RN – Vermont

Start Date: August 3, 2026
Location: Windsor, Vermont
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, every other weekend, holiday rotation as needed

Highlights:

• Rehabilitation Med-Surg unit combining medical-surgical nursing with intensive rehabilitation services
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5 with average daily census of 22 patients
• Opportunity to serve as backup Charge Nurse and coordinate total nursing care
• Cerner EMR system in use
• 13-week travel assignment with call-back, holiday, and OT multipliers at 1.25x
• Collaborative environment working with therapy teams (PT, OT, Speech) to restore patient function and independence

Requirements:

• Active Vermont RN license or valid Compact license
• Minimum 2 years recent Med-Surg and Rehab experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience (at least 3 months) required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) strongly preferred
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed within scope of practice
• Must have reliable personal vehicle (required in this rural community)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
