Job Opportunity – Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiography – Wisconsin

Start Date: Flexible between July 20, July 27, or August 3, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with rotational Saturday and Sunday shifts. Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Possible call coverage as needed. 8 or 10-hour shift options available.

Highlights:

• Work in an IAC-accredited echo lab following ASE transthoracic echo protocol standards
• Perform approximately 7 scans per day across a diverse case mix including TAVR, VAD, ECMO, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, strain imaging, mitral clip follow-up, and transplant patients
• Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment and technology including 2-D, 3-D, and 4-D echocardiography capabilities
• Float between main hospital location and outpatient clinics serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Experience Epic charting system preferred; work at a Magnet-designated, top-ranked facility
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations in ICU, ED, and outpatient settings

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of cardiac echocardiography experience required; 2 years preferred
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program required
• Registered in echocardiography: RDCS or RCS certification through ARDMS or CCI required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association ONLY
• Trauma Level I or II experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Must be able to administer ultrasound enhancement agents including Definity and Optison
• Proficiency in agitated saline bubble studies required
• Must meet productivity expectations of 7 scans per day and facility pace standards
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
