Description
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Northern Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time position with every other weekend requirement. On-call shifts possible. Holiday coverage from 7:00 PM the evening before the holiday through 7:00 PM of the holiday.
Highlights:
- Provide critical care to unstable patients requiring advanced life-support interventions
- Manage complex ICU equipment including ventilators, CRRT, and balloon pumps
- Titrate intravenous drips and interpret vital signs for critically ill patient populations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to coordinate advanced patient care
- Float to similar critical care units as needed to support facility operations
- Opportunity to work with neuro, cardiovascular ICU, and trauma patient populations
Requirements:
- Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 1 year of Intensive Care Unit experience (floating experience does not qualify)
- EKG interpretation experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Completed skills checklist within one year of application
- Willingness to float to similar critical care units
- Preferred: Experience with neuro, CVICU, trauma patients, ventilator management, CRRT, and balloon pumps
