Job Opportunity – IMCU Float Pool RN – North Carolina

Start Date: August 3, 2026
Location: Boone, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 2 weekend shifts per month required; holiday coverage as needed

Highlights:

• IMCU Float Pool position with flexibility to support multiple units within skillset
• 4:1–5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio with goal of maintaining 4:1
• 24-bed unit with average daily census of 20–24 patients
• EPIC charting system in use; proficiency required
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including occasional pediatric cases
• 13-week travel assignment with immediate start required

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or Multistate Compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/Telemetry/PCU experience
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience
• EPIC experience and proficiency required
• Telemetry experience and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
• Comfort level caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Must reside more than 40 miles from facility (local residency restrictions apply)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
