Description
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; orientation provided based on contract length
Highlights:
- High-volume Emergency Department with 59 beds averaging 165-175 patients daily
- High-acuity patient population including adolescents through geriatrics; Stroke and STEMI certified facility
- Epic EMR system utilized (experience required); Pyxis medication management
- 13-week travel assignment with up to 7 days requested time off permitted (blackout dates apply for Spring Break in April)
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
- Holiday coverage required based on assignment period; major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred; candidates with at least 3 completed ER travel contracts preferred
- Epic EMR experience required (hard stop – no exceptions)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required; TNCC and SANE preferred
- Experience with high patient ratios (1:4) and high-acuity emergency care
- Proficiency in emergency procedures including IV insertion, 12-lead EKG, triage, phlebotomy, and management of critical patients
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); full compliance required prior to start date
