Job Opportunity – MS/Tele Float Pool Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours weekly; weekday and weekend availability required, including holidays

Highlights:

• Med-Surg/Telemetry Float Pool position with variety across multiple patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• EPIC electronic health records system in use
• 24-hour orientation provided to ensure smooth transition
• Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic medical center environment
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; up to two pre-approved time-off periods available

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in MS/Tele setting required; previous travel experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and EPIC charting system
• Valid Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Strong skills in blood product administration, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation, wound care, and various specialty procedures
• Flexibility to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
