Description
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours per week), including weekend rotation and holidays. Estimated patient ratio 1:3.
Highlights:
- Work with an adult and geriatric patient population in a progressive medical-surgical telemetry environment
- Utilize Epic EMR system in a modern, well-supported clinical setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Gain experience with heparin and insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, and advanced telemetry monitoring
- Float opportunities within the health system to expand clinical skills and experience
- Comprehensive orientation and ergonomic equipment support provided
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring required
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Must provide 2 professional references, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership role
Key Skills:
- Central line and PICC line management
- Blood product administration and phlebotomy
- Chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and wound care/wound vac
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias with on-unit telemetry monitoring
- IV insulin and heparin protocol management, including titration of insulin drips
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and non-invasive airway management
- Pre/post cardiac catheterization and hemodialysis management
- Experience with feeding tubes, PCA pumps, and isolation precautions

- Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
- Four weekend shifts per four-week schedule
